WHY DID WE LAUNCH 'RESTORING LIVELIHOODS'?
1 crore workers displaced across the nation, a lack of essential resources, and uncertainty about the future - the migrant workers have endured the extreme brunt of the lockdown. With more than 300 dead and an estimated amount of 400 million workers that would be destitute, their dire situation calls for both attention and service.
WHAT IS THE CHALLENGE?
'Restoring Livelihoods' is a challenge that requires high-school students to design plausible and high-quality projects to help improve the standards of living for migrant workers in Haryana affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. We're looking for the most innovative ideas out there!
WHY SHOULD YOU SUBMIT YOUR PROPOSALS TO US?
The projects submitted to us will undergo standardized marking by the selection board formed by Project Mauka based on the quality of the idea, viability, and research & effort. Following this, the shortlisted projects will be presented to the State Government of Haryana and the best project will receive Rs. 20,000 for the implementation of the project.
This challenge is open to students from grades 9 to 12. The proposal for the idea needs to be emailed to by 23:59 on the 2nd of October, 2020. No late entries will be allowed.
