WHY ARE WE HERE?
FYI started off with helping out private school students but we soon realised that we could generate a lot more value by directly working shoulder to shoulder with students from public schools. They know about the struggles their communities face and more importantly they have never been exposed to opportunities like this.
Project Mauka aims to empower such children.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
Leadership and entrepreneurship are essential 21st century skills; however, there is a gaping hole in the education system which rarely addresses this.
Project Mauka aims to change the system.
By enabling students to become ambassadors of change, not only do we boost their confidence but more importantly we are able to channelize the collective potential of the youth to catalyze change, In the long run, these students will also benefit from these skills which would widen their horizon of opportunity once they graduate school. Be it to start their own business, or take up many leadership positions in their life.
Project Mauka aims to create future change-makers.
